Palram Americas is pleased to announce a new mini wave polycarbonate profile, the Sunsky® Mini. Available only through Palram, this new polycarbonate profile matches traditional profiles produced by metal and fiberglass manufacturers. The Sunsky Mini is primarily used for rooflights and retrofits to replace fiberglass either in conjunction with metal materials or alone.
This profile, previously available in only metal or fiberglass, will expand the possibilities for use in interior and exterior applications, including daylighting options. Unlike fiberglass, polycarbonate will not “bloom” or crack, it is more resistant to yellowing, and it is extremely durable (hail and impact resistant). All Sunsky profiles exhibit superior UV resistance with the UV inhibitors coextruded into the product. Polycarbonate is the preferred daylighting option for use with metal roof and wall panels.
“This Sunsky Mini profile is an excellent product for retrofit applications replacing old, worn fiberglass,” announced John Biehl, Pro Market Manager at Palram Americas. ““Thanks to our new MetalMatch manufacturing technology, Palram Americas is excited to be the first polycarbonate manufacturer to bring a polycarbonate version of this product to market.”
The standard dimensions for the Sunsky Mini are: 26” wide x 12’ lengths with a 3/8” rib height and 24” coverage. The profile is available in clear. The Sunsky Mini will be stocked in the Kutztown, PA location.
